We're Giving Away $30,000 of Rafting!

It's our 30th birthday.

And we thought, why not celebrate by giving away 30 rafting trips? Then we thought, we can do better than that.

So then somebody said, why not give away 30 years of free rafting, so someone could go for life? Then we said, heck, why not give that to 10 people?

Now, we're doing it: All you have to do to win is say thanks by wishing us a happy birthday. Put it in a video , 30 seconds, of course , and post it to the ACE Adventure Resort page on ACE's Page on Facebook, or on our channel on YouTube as a video response to the "30th Birthday Contest" video explaining the rules. You can also find all the details on the ACE website.

It doesn't have to be super-pro, high-def, Oscar-winning. Just make it creative. Your deadline, should you accept the mission to want free rafting for the rest of your life, is May 1.

We'll announce the winners shortly thereafter and throw a little film festival with the winners at our Birthday Bash here in Oak Hill on May 16 and 17.

Birthday Bash - ACE Adventure Style

You'll want to start thinking about making your plans and reservations to come down for the birthday bash, and we can give you several reasons why.

1. Um, four words: awesome spring whitewater rafting.

2. A pig roast, music, volleyball, tons of cake, and all the stuff you'd expect at a birthday party.

3. The newly expanded beach at the lake. We've had heavy machinery laboring all winter, scooping out mud a shovelful at a time, dumping sand, creating more beachy goodness. There's about 200 yards more suntanning real estate now (and still all the awesome inflatable jungle gym toys). It's a must-see-and-do.

4. We don't play pin the tail on the donkey at our birthday party. We play paintball, go rock climbing, zip around on the canopy tour, ride ATVs, mountain bike, kayak, fish and ride horses.

We hate to do this to you, but we're going to have to tempt you with some pretty sweet deals we like to call spring specials.

You'll start by being intrigued when we tell you that Canyon Adventures , paintball, rock climbing, ATV Tours, canopy tours and mountain biking , are 20% off for April and May.

Your ears will perk up when we tell you that SpringFest Vacation Packages (that's rafting, breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus two nights of lodging) start as low as $99 per person in April, $109 in May.

When we explain that the Spring Double Dare (that's two Lower New trips in one day!) package includes meals and two nights lodging starting at $129 per person for the next six weeks, you'll start to tremble.

So it's probably cruel to even bring up that Dueling Rivers packages (a New River and Gauley River trip, plus meals and two nights lodging) start at $199 in May, and that we've got deals on all sorts of adventure combination packages.

Anxiously looking ahead to Summer Specials, there's our Grand Slam! deal. Combine West Virginia's Minor League Baseball action with all the fun at ACE , that's box seats, rafting, a pass for the ACE lake playpark, meals and camping. You can't strike out on that.

You'll forgive us for tempting you once it's all over, though. Trust us.

We want to say a big thanks to all the people who have already signed up to help us with our trail maintenance weekends!

This year, we've got more people signed up than ever before to help us give some love to the miles and miles of mountain biking trails here at the Adventure Resort. Maybe it has something to do with giving the volunteers a free cabin rental (you know, the ones with hot tubs).
